The Vase Girl, 2024

The prototype for the Vase Girl concept originates from a Chinese street magic show, where an optical illusion is created of a girl inside a vase, with only her head visible. In 2023, I recreated this installation and performed it on the street.

This life form is an extreme embodiment of the past conditions of women, including objectification, alienation, and emotional neglect. It is also a mutated or disabled entity.

I aimed to present the fusion of organic life and inorganic objects, dissolving the boundary between the two to create a sense of discomfort and provoking the audience to reflect on the concept of objectification.
