The Second Skin, 2024

Using specially formulated coloured slip, I cast and draw ceramic lines and thin sheets that retain the memory of textile structures.

Inspired by lace, the forms suggest the female breast — a site where softness, exposure and resilience coexist.

The fragile ceramic surfaces appear on the verge of collapse.
In the tension between the yielding nature of fabric and the sharp permanence of fired clay, the work inhabits a state of instability.

Suspended like open pages, the pieces invite a slow and tactile reading.
